My Voice - Our Rights

The power of an individual’s VOICE, collectively with that of many others, can create a chorus effect in support of social justice and human RIGHTS.

There are as many definitions and examples of social justice and human rights as there are melodies. However, there are a relatively small number of lyrics and songs that speak to the pursuit of social justice and rights, particularly from the heart of youth.

The Star Expo Foundation and Imagineaction were looking for social justice and human rights lyrics and choruses that were written and brought to life by our very own Canadian students. Whether it's Hip Hop or Folk, Metal or Pop, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that your students are passionate about an issue, can write lyrics and transpose those lyrics into song.
