The Canadian Teachers’ Federation has created this policy in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the Imagineaction Web site.

Information collected and how we use it

You remain in control of the information you provide to the Canadian Teachers’ Federation, until such a time as you decide to embark on a partnership with an Expert.

We collect two types of information about visitors:

• Personal information which you have voluntarily submitted to us via the online registration process.
• Aggregate information (such as information about how many visitors log on to our site, the pages they access, etc.).

We collect, maintain and use personal information you have voluntarily submitted to contact you, including via email, to respond to your comments or requests for information, or to contact you, if needed, in the course of supporting you and the work you do as it is tied to Imagineaction.

Any personal information submitted to an Imagineaction showcase page must meet with the privacy requirement of the originating school, board and/or division.

The Canadian Teachers’ Federation has attempted to ensure your anonymity in your initial communication with a community expert. We’ve done this by having your initial email query to an expert reside on the Imagineaction server until the Expert responds to your initial email.

At that time, you will have full control over whether you would like to maintain communication with the Expert, and if you do, you do so voluntarily through the sharing of your email address at that time.

The Canadian Teachers’ Federation will attempt, to the extent possible, to verify every link provided by experts and other teachers but has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other Web sites to whom we may be linked.
