YOUCAN at Hopewell

Hopewell Avenue Public School will be looking to create a partnership with the organization YOUCAN in hopes to educate our older students (and staff) in the tenets of restorative justice, peer mediation, and positive leadership skills. Students will participate in workshops run by YOUCAN at school, and will engage in real-life mediation and peer mentoring as needed. Staff will also participate in some training and will encourage that the skills students learn are put to use.

Mise à jour (21 novembre 2011)

Project details have been decided upon!
After some long discussions and planning meetings (then having to do it again!) we have come up with a pretty solid vision of how this project will work at Hopewell.
Now, instead of just involving our grade 7s, ALL 250+ intermediate students will be receiving some YOUCAN training, beginning in the new year.
The project team is very excited to have had some dialogue with representatives from YOUCAN and are eager to get this project into the next phase!
