Lenten Service Project

The project I am working on is in conjunction with a grade 9 leadership class that I teach. This group of 20 students will be organizing and facilitating a school wide service project during the season of Lent. The students are soliciting stores in the Edmonton area to donate backpacks (100) that each class in our school will then fill with needed items for the homeless people in the area that frequent the MUSTARD SEED CHURCH. The idea is provide the homeless with items such as blankets, socks, and personal hygiene items all within the backpack. Our goal is to have each homeroom fill 5 backpacks and the Leadership students will deliver them to the Church for people in need.
