Trail of Life

Barrington High sits on a large piece of property that is a natural state of hills and forests. It is heavily influenced by its glacial past with its erratic boulder fields and rock outcroppings and the ground is lush with moss and ferns. The Environment Club has been heading up an effort to develop organized informative trails, the "REAL" Garden and outdoor classroom spaces in the school's woodlands.
Developing a trail will provide opportunities for the students to study nature in the Science, Art, Social Sciences, Native Studies and Physical Education classes.
It will encourage outside activities and a greater knowledge of the physical environment, thus enhancing the physical and social well-being of the entire community.
