What Can YOUth Do? Symposium

The "What Can YOUth Do?" symposium committee consists of 11 senior high school students from various school districts throughout the Great Vancouver region. The purpose of this symposium is to inspire and give tools for youth of the Lower Mainland (Vancouver, British Columbia) to make a difference in their world community. The event runs all day with workshops, presentations and team building activities. At the conference the workshop presenters include Free the Children, motivational speaker Rick Bains, and Neonology. This year's conference will also include things such as fast-paced discussions on an assortment of global issues, as well as an Amazing Race style scavenger hunt across the SFU campus. We ran this youth symposium last year and it was a success. However, we want it to be even better!

Registration Packages have been assembled. Each participant will receive a folder that contains a student passport, a student activist guide "Engaging in our Communities as Global Citizens", a pad of lined paper, a pen, a map of the university campus, and an agenda for the day.
