Flags to represent our Land and People

Our school only displays a Canadian flag, and in light of Reconciliation that needs to begin in our school we would like to purchase flags for the peoples whose land this was. In preparation for the upcoming Remembrance Day service which our community attends, it would be appropriate to have the Treaty 6 and Metis flags present. Also to represent our international students as well (currently only two other nations) we would also like to have their flags present in the school. Would also need to have a method to display them on the school stage (such as flag poles). As the school is a partner in the community, the flags would also be available for functions in the town.

The flags and stand were used at the annual Christmas Concert. And this was the first time that we have started a ceremony welcoming guests and recognizing the original people and territories.
"Bruno Central School respectfully acknowledges that we are situated on Treaty 6 territory, traditional lands of First Nations and Métis people." The flag stand displays the Canada and Saskatchewan flags, as well as the Treaty 6 and Metis flags. As our nation moves towards reconciliation, our school has started to respect the ancestors of this land.
Each flag was introduced and an explanation of its design was done by the Grade 5 & 6 students.
