World Peace Game

The World Peace Game is a hands-on political simulation that gives players the opportunity to explore the connectedness of the global community through the lens of the economic, social, and environmental crises and the imminent threat of war. The goal of the game is to extricate each country from dangerous circumstances and achieve global prosperity with the least amount of military intervention. As “nation teams,” students will gain greater understanding of the critical impact of information and how it is used. For more information go to http://worldpeacegame.org/

Update (May 3, 2017)

Students from Neil Campbell school took on the brave task of trying to resolve 50 of the world's problems in order to achieve world peace. Problems included oil spills, a refugee crisis, global warming and endangered species just to name a few. Some students were members of one of 4 of the countries as Prime Minister, CEO, CFO or the Minister of Defense whereas others made up the United Nations, the World Bank, the Legal Counsel and arms dealers. Students used their negotiating skills to collaborate and work together to find solutions that worked for everyone. Congratulations to all involved on their hard work and problem solving, finding world peace was no easy task!
