Keep the Promise

We formed a committee of 20 students who will dedicate this year to the Keep the Promise initiative. We will begin by educating the middle school students about child poverty in Canada. Most likely, we will have an afternoon of school time dedicated to an awareness campaign and activities to get the students on board. We also plan on having various drives throughout the year to support this initiative. For example, in the first week of November, we will be having a sports equipment drive to collect gently used equipment to donate to a community of kids in need. Our Parent's Association is partnering with us. Later in the year, we will have a food drive and possibly a coin drive. Our committee will speak to all home base classes, make posters, collect and help to distribute whatever goods we get.
