Aboriginal Perspectives
Aboriginal and non-aboriginal students meet in an informal setting with the guidance of a teacher and aboriginal community leaders to share, discuss and learn from each other. This is a social justice initiative that is fully in line with foundation for understanding and cooperation. Dialogue and democratic mobilization are the pillars of the initiative.
The group will be involved in working with students from the surrounding elementary schools to help promote and value aboriginal identity and culture. The Aboriginal Perspectives Initiative will also work on socio-economic projects aiming to alleviate poverty in the community.
