Youth Awareness and Recreation Events

Students will participate in a youth awareness and recreation night which will include an educational session (bullying, healthy relationships, etc.), a recreation activity, and a healthy snack.

Update (May 16, 2012)

We are planning an overnight activity for students in grades 4-12 on May 25th, 2012. Students who wish to attend are selling 10 tickets on a donated Newfoundland quilt. All proceeds from the quilt will be donated to the Janeway Children's Hospital. Student council members are busy planning activities which will include various physical activities as well as educational sessions on stress and smoking. Stay tuned for more details!

Update (June 20, 2012)

Our Youth Awareness and Recreation event was quite the success! Over 40 students and two teachers spent the entire night in our school gym. Our event consisted of a presentation by our school nurse on stress. Later we played various gym games and Wii fit games. Throughout the night students and staff alike had so much fun at a campfire and playing spotlight. Students were very excited for our hourly prize draws! A fun time was had by all :)
