BOOK: THE CRAZY MAN

Students will use their learning experience in a social action or social awareness project arising from the book study, and produce a video about their experience.

Update (June 19, 2012)

We had a conversation with Pamela Porter, the author of The Crazy Man, on June 4 via Skype. My students and I were so excited to be given the opportunity to speak directly with Ms. Porter and to ask her questions pertaining to her book. We had 6 questions prepared in advance and students asked these questions to her. Ms. Porter was very friendly to the students and remarked that their questions were very original. We would certainly recommend this program to other literacy classrooms :)
