Paws - What are YOU Doing'?

The Humboldt & District S.P.C.A. takes in homeless cats and dogs found in our area. Volunteers operate this organization. The town of Bruno & Bruno Central School have been working together to help the Humboldt S.P.C.A. buy a new building. Humboldt is the closest city to Bruno.
Our original plan was to raise money for a new S.P.C.A. building, but as we started we realized they have lot of other expensive needs too. They need a good quality camera, a backdrop (to improve the photos of the animals), an external hard drive (to back up files), a memory stick (to share files and presentation) and a card reader. Our plan is to help them improve their advertising skills in hope of having more pets adopted and more funds raised. With your help, this dream could become a reality.

Update (February 4, 2012)

On January 18th, 2012 we went to the Humboldt & District S.P.C.A. and spent the day with Wanda Price. We presented her with a cheque for $692.23 for the building fund, as well as all the camera equipment we had purchased for them.

We also spent the day teaching her how to use word documents, as well as the camera and the camera accessories we bought her with the grant.

In addition to the grant money we fundraised by putting change jars in each classroom. We made it into a competition between classrooms. The classroom that made the most money received a “Kitty Litter Cake” from us. We also put change jars around town where we asked the community to donate their extra change, as well as Canadian Tire money. Finally we held a very popular sugar cookie sale before Christmas.

Update (April 5, 2012)

We are very proud of the success of this project. We all helped to raise awareness about homeless animals, as well as help save the Humboldt & District SPCA's building. "The way we look at it, we were able to help those that can't help themselves, and we could not have done that without the help of the people who donated as well as Imagineaction." (Alyssa Huber & Robyn Niebrugge)

We are very proud to announce that the Bruno Community and Surrounding Area have given the Humboldt and District SPCA $702.23 as well as up to date Camera Equipment for pet adoption purposes.
