Mountain View School Division Community Graduation Powwow

The Powwow is an Aboriginal tradition. It is a sacred celebration that is engrained in Aboriginal culture and practices the values of the Seven Teachings, the Medicine Wheel, and the sacred circle.
The MVSD Community Graduation Powwow is an opportunity to honor any student who has graduated from the Mountain View School Division. It is also an opportunity to show respect to elders, veterans, the singers and dancers, drummers, school staff, and people who volunteer to help the powwow.
Any student who wishes to be honored at the powwow, and is a student of MVSD, will be welcomed to register for the graduation powwow. I believe this event is new to our school and to the school division, it would be an amazing endeavor.

The Powwow would be held at the Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School (DRCSS).
