Student Council

With the assistance of Imagineaction, our school's 'dance committee" has evolved into a more formal student council. We have a great core of students and teachers working for the benefit of the school by providing whole school opportunities for social gatherings in our tiny town. This year we are continuing with this and working to add more student decision making and local contributions such as story telling. The students have asked for more traditional content in their activities and would like to record and interview Elders from their community.

Update (June 14, 2013)

It took some time, but we were able to to have the some of our student council members engage with elders from their town.We listened and recorded stories and read books in the local language (Inuktitut).
