Pay it Forward to the Food Bank

Our grade 6/7 class has just finished reading the novel, Pay it Forward. They have decided, as a class, to complete a project to help others in need.
Students will coordinate monthly bake sales and food drives with all proceeds going to the local food bank.
In June, students will travel to the Oromocto Food Bank for a tour and to help fill monthly food boxes.

Update (June 3, 2016)

Students have been busy bringing in canned goods and holding a bake sale to raise funds that have been donated to the food bank. We had a great day visiting the local food banks and learning how food boxes are packed and walking through the community gardens that also help feed the hungry.

Update (June 14, 2016)

Our students have thoroughly enjoyed visiting the food banks and raising food and money to support the cause. Hopefully next year, we can participate in another project.
