Youth Leadership Workshops for Global Justice
Our school is organizing a series of youth workshops for May 12, 2011. On this day, we will fully engage our 130 grade ten students in the theme of "global justice". For part of the day, students will learn about current global justice topics that we face in our world today. We will invite community speakers to talk with students about such issues as refugees, landmines, fair trade, women and security issues, and other human rights issues. Students will also take part in creating awareness with three action projects.
