Exhibition Peace Garden

The Exhibition is:
- an individual or group inquiry that starts from personal interest and passions, but extends into real world issues.
It provides the students with an opportunity to demonstrate independence and responsibility for their own learning. The goal is to demonstrate how students can take action as a result of their learning in the Primary Years Program (PYP). To unite students, teachers, parents and the community in a collaborative experience that incorporates the essential elements of the PYP. As a result of the exhibition, the students decided that they wanted to create a peace garden at our school. They were successful in receiving some tree donations, although did not receive enough in order to fully complete the garden.

Update (May 10, 2013)

As part of the final project in the Peace Garden the students were looking at things that make the world a better place. As part of their action, they created a peace garden in front of the school.
